FAQS

A game that teaches children about ads in games at an early age

Peanut Gallery was developed with the serious purpose of teaching young children who may be picking up a device for the first time how to identify and avoid ads and other prompts that may lead to an unintentional in-app purchase.

Nintendo Switch

What a great concept! But how does the game actually achieve this?

Each mini-game features ads that Eric must either eliminate or avoid in order to win the game. The concept is simple: Teach players to look for and identify the "X" or close button that is often discreet or so small that it's difficult to press. Over time players will earn to look for the X button to close, or to avoid the ad entirely.

How often is the game updated?

Great question! We are university students (soon to be graduates) and this is our culminating project. We use a Twitter feed as our dev blog and post updates here whenever a change is made to the game; be it update, new feature, or bug fix.

When and where will the game be released?

We are currently planning a release during Q4 of 2022 on ios and google play,
